Ilimanaq Settlement

Forty Greenlanders still live in this fishing settlement. There is a post office, church, school, hotel, restaurant, grocery store, and many one-room houses, most of them abandoned. The houses have no plumbing, but some have satellite cable and wifi. They use a process that converts salt water to drinking water, and they get this water from the one main outdoor faucet, then carry it back to their houses. Whale Watching in the Arctic Ocean

Went whale watching in the Arctic Ocean, but didn't see any whales. It was interesting to sail through the icebergs and the scenery was beautiful. Knud Rasmussen's Museum is dedicated to the famous Danish explorer. The former residence of the colony Manager, designed of the famous architect Helge B. Møller and erected in 1923, houses the Art Museum.
