Ilimanaq Settlement
Forty Greenlanders still live in this fishing settlement. There is a post office, church, school, hotel, restaurant, grocery store, and many one-room houses, most of them abandoned. The houses have no plumbing, but some have satellite cable and wifi. They use a process that converts salt water to drinking water, and they get this water from the one main outdoor faucet, then carry it back to their houses. The Ilimanaq Settlement can only be reached by boat or helicopter.
