Champagne Vineyards
A tour of the vineyards in Verzenay and Champagne included seeing Le Phare de Verzenay (lighthouse) overlooking a sea of vineyards, built in 1909, and Le Moulin de Verzenay (windmill), built in 1818 and used for milling until 1903.
The Yves Couvreur vineyards, owned by the same family since 1644, produce 40,000 bottles of champagne annually. They sell some of it under their own label and some to Moët & Chandon, makers of Dom Pérignon.
