Ilulissat, Greenland

Ilulissat, formerly Jacobshaven, is a town in western Greenland, located approximately 220 miles north of the Arctic Circle. It is the third largest city in Greenland. Ilulissat is the word for "Icebergs". Whale Watching in the Arctic Ocean

Went whale watching in the Arctic Ocean, but didn't see any whales. It was interesting to sail through the icebergs and the scenery was beautiful. Knud Rasmussen's Museum is dedicated to the famous Danish explorer. The former residence of the colony Manager, designed of the famous architect Helge B. Møller and erected in 1923, houses the Art Museum.
